Duct Cleaning Services from Portland Throughout the Columbia River Gorge
At A&E Plumbing, Heating and Air, we offer professional duct cleaning services designed to remove that hidden buildup and give you cleaner, healthier indoor air.

Why Duct Cleaning Matters
Your ductwork is like the lungs of your home. When it’s dirty, you’re breathing in everything that’s been collecting inside—whether you realize it or not.
Improve the Air You Breathe
Your ducts circulate every bit of air you breathe indoors. Over time, they collect dust, pet dander, pollen, and more—especially if they’ve never been cleaned. Removing that buildup helps create a healthier home environment.
Reduce Allergens and Odors
If allergy or asthma symptoms spike when the HVAC kicks on—or if you’ve noticed musty smells—it could be coming from dirty ducts. Cleaning your system helps eliminate those irritants and improves overall indoor air quality.
Boost HVAC Efficiency
When ducts are clogged with debris, your system has to work harder to push air through. Cleaning them out restores airflow, improves comfort, and can even lower your energy bills.

Your Duct Cleaning Questions Answered
Below you'll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about ductwork and cleaning services. If you still have questions, feel free to reach out to us through our contact page.
What about pets, furniture, and prep?
We get it—your home is lived in.
Before your appointment, we ask that you:
- Clear about 1 foot of space around each vent
- Cover any beds or furniture directly under vents
- Let us know if any vents are in hard-to-reach areas
If you have pets, we recommend setting them up in a separate room during the cleaning. The vacuum system can be loud, and we want them to stay stress-free.
Will duct cleaning make a mess in my home?
Can duct cleaning help with allergies or breathing issues?
Yes. Removing dust, pet dander, mold spores, and other airborne particles from your ducts can significantly reduce allergy and asthma symptoms, especially for sensitive individuals. Cleaner ducts = cleaner air.
How often should I have my ducts cleaned?
Most homes benefit from duct cleaning every 5 to 7 years, but homes with pets, recent construction, or allergy-prone residents may need it more often. If you see dust buildup, experience poor airflow, or haven’t had them cleaned before, it’s likely time.
